| $pellcheck is an experimental pop band out of the Twin Cities and Cleveland. Martin Dosh (Andrew Bird, Dosh, The Cloak Ox) plays keys, loops and percussion. David King (The Bad Plus, Happy Apple, Craig Taborn) plays drumset. Mike Sopko (Bill Laswell, Glimpse Trio, Yellowstone Apocalypse) plays guitars. Formed as the brainchild of Dosh and Sopko, with the idea of splitting an LP up between covers, originals and improvs, their debut was recorded over 2 days at the Terrarium in Minneapolis. |
